Sophie Sheumaker is Naomi Davis’ amazing Literary Assistant, as well as the assistant to BookEnds’ Foreign Rights department. Without Sophie, Naomi would literally not know where any of their files are in Google Drive.

She studied writing, literature, and publishing at Emerson College, graduating in the spring of 2023. She can be found at the library checking out more books than she could ever possibly read, crocheting like it's a full-time job, or taking her afraid-of-her-own-shadow dog for a walk through the streets of Boston. She is a firm believer that everyone should read children's books, walnuts should never be in banana bread, and the 2005 Pride and Prejudice is better than the BBC version.

Sophie represents illustrators at BookEnds Literary Agency as well, and is overall good at pretty much everything, especially organization and witty comebacks.

Poppyseed Bagel Sheumaker is a full time dog who can not read. Though she has crippling anxiety, she doesn’t let it distract her from being unemployed. She is afraid of many things, including: joggers, empty bottles, and trash bags. Luckily, she benefits heavily from pretty privilege.
